Meditation ~ The Guardian
The spiritual path is definitely not for the weak. As you have to go through many self initiations that seem to completely destroy you but yet rebuild you stronger. This spiritual journey requires one to peel back the layers of the self, the ego, all of those things we claim to be. Our journey makes us go deeper beyond the surface down to the core of our being it makes us literally burn to ashes, so we may arise renewed and on stronger foundations. The book states “the bleached white skeleton of a great Cave Bear stands sentinel in the night guarding the entrance to the cave. The guardian Spirit of the Beast challenges those who would enter the cave of ancestral memory without understanding the nature of their own Darkness”. I not surprises that is card appeared right after the Great Bear card, as that card invites you into the darkness to heal and renew. The Guardian stands before us and challenges us. One of our greatest challenges is that of facing our own fears. What are your fears? What are you afraid of? Is it your own greatness? If this image scares you, then you might need to ask yourself, what scares you when you look onto the mirror?
This is a great meditation as we approach the full moon on the 9th. May this energy being light to that which hides in the darkness.
Blessings,
SR
